1. This valve is mainly used for connection and interruption for the media such as water, oil and others in the pipeline. And the main function of this valve is to stop the medium from back off and bleeding from the container.
2. The face to face of this valve is short, as well as with a small volume and light weight.

1.  Installation and Maintenance

1. Installation method
   1. Cross check nameplates carefully for the correct pressure rated and sized valve selection with required material and valve type for the corresponding pipeline before the use
   2. Before installation, ensure the mark of the flow direction is in accordance with flow direction of medium.
   3. Clean the pipeline for the oil degreasing and to remove other impurities before installation.
   4. The valve should be handled with care during the transportation
   5. Before the installation, remove the dust plugs from the valve firstly.
   6. The valve should be in close position when it is installed against the pipeline.
   7. When installing the valve against the pipes, please put the suitable gaskets between flanges, and tighten the flanges on the cross by using proper bolts.
   8. The valve can be installed in both vertical and horizontal way.
2. Storage and Maintenance
   1. Please keep the valve in a dry and ventilated room, both ends of which shall be covered with dust plugs, to ensure the internal body of the valve is clean.
   2. The valve should be coated with dust proof oil and checked regularly if it is going to be stored for a long time.
   3. If the valve is stored outdoors, it should be packed up off the ground, and wrapped up and protected by plastic film.
   4. When starting using the valve out of long-term storage room, the user should check if the sealing function is performing and make sure to fill up the operational parts with lubricating oil.
   5. The valve in use should be checked and the nuts should be tightened regularly to ensure its performance.
   6. The valve is offered with one year warranty (no more than 18 months after delivery), if there is any claimed defect in material or manufacturing oversight under normal use, upon the approval by Afcon, Afcon will be committed to replace the gaskets, packing, discs (if necessary), seats, etc
   7. Keep a clean working environment in order to prolong the service life of the valve.
